ADDIS ABABA, ETHIOPIA

Networking and connectivity

COG provides business networking services in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, covering network planning, Wi-Fi requirements, configuration and agreed troubleshooting or improvement work.

CLEAR REQUIREMENTS. CONSIDERED DELIVERY.
THE RIGHT START

Keep your people and systems connected.

A network problem can come from coverage, capacity, cabling, configuration or the internet connection itself. Understanding the environment first helps avoid replacing equipment that is not causing the issue. We help define how staff, guests and business systems should connect, with a scope that reflects your premises, applications and operational requirements.

FROM REQUIREMENTS TO HANDOVER

What we can help with.

01

Network requirements and assessment

Review the site layout, connected devices, application needs and reported issues. Identify where wired connections, wireless coverage and access separation are needed, and note dependencies on the internet service provider.

02

Design and configuration

Plan the agreed network equipment and connections, including access points, switching and routing where relevant. Define staff and guest access, administrator responsibilities and configuration records before implementation.

03

Checks and support handover

Check representative connection and access scenarios after the work. Document important settings and explain which issues fall within local network support and which require escalation to a provider or equipment supplier.

BEFORE YOU START

Your questions, answered.

Why is our office Wi-Fi slow even when the internet plan is fast?

Wireless interference, access-point placement, device capacity and local configuration can affect performance independently of the internet plan. An assessment should compare wired and wireless behaviour and identify when and where the problem occurs.

Can staff and visitors use separate networks?

Separate access can be part of the design, depending on the equipment and requirements. The scope should define what each group may reach, how access is managed and whether any business devices need additional separation.

What information helps with network troubleshooting?

Useful details include affected devices, locations, error messages and the time the problem happens. Explain whether all applications are affected and whether a wired connection behaves differently. This helps narrow the investigation and identify external dependencies.
